KRA are structural & civil engineers specialising in JCT design and build contracts in concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
BRIEF HISTORY
Currently based in Wokingham, Berkshire, KRA (formerly Kenneth Rowe Associates) was originally founded in 1974 in Reading. In 1994 the practice moved to Wokingham and became incorporated in 2000 as a limited company. A more recent development has been the appointment of Keith Strong as a company director in 2005. Over the last 30 years the company has handled a diverse portfolio including major new builds, small pub refurbishments and even the design of large scale film sets.

KRA's practice philosophy encapsulates a modern approach to construction design. It enables the development of innovative design solutions that benefit the client, design team and contractor. We attribute our success over the last 30 years to the fact that our structural design is oriented towards the development of architectural solutions and that our engineers thrive on working to pressured deadlines and on challenging projects.
RECENT PROJECTS
We have worked on a wide range of projects over the recent years encompassing residential developments, brewery refurbishments, business park development, office development and supermarkets. For the last 20 years we have been the park engineers for Newbury Business Park and were the consultants for the original infrastructure and the majority of the buildings. The image below is a 55,000 sq ft warehouse unit (1 of 4) from the Crossways Estate in Dartford, a contract valued at £6.5m.
