Hydrock Consultants Ltd was formed in 1995 by Dr Brian McConnell (Managing Director) and Hamish Orr-Ewing (Engineering Director) to provide consultancy services for Construction, Infrastructure and the environment. Dr Adam Fisher and Dr Robert Narbett were appointed to the board of directors in 2001. The company operates from offices in Bristol, Plymouth and Newport, currently has 45 employees and provides the following services:
•Site and Utility Services, and Mines Surveying •Environmental Ground Investigation and Building Surveying, Contamination Remediation Design, Emissions Monitoring, Human Health Risk Assessments
•Geotechnical, Civil and Structural Engineering •Tunnels and Tunnelling
•Full Architectural Scheme Design
•Construction Project Management
Approximately 80% of Hydrock’s work is with the MOD, Local Authorities, housing developers and loss adjusters. Major clients include Interserve Defence Ltd (MOD), Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bryant Homes, Persimmon Homes, Wilson Connolly Homes, David Wilson Homes, and Cunningham Lindsay.
