AIM
Delegates will gain a broad knowledge of the principles of modern management and procurement.
OBJECTIVES
·To introduce delegates to the fundamentals of Project Management including project definition, planning and implementation.
·To enable participants to understand how to manage the organisation and quality of resources on a project.
·To provide an introduction to the Latham Report, The Construction Act and partnering and the need for a Best Value approach to assessing project success.
·To illustrate the need to identify project risks and to develop an approach to manage those risks.
BENEFITS OF ATTENDING
On completion of this course delegates will:
·Understand the tools of Project Management. ·Understand the nature of risk and how to manage risks on a project through a structured approach. ·Appreciate and be alert to personal perception, attitude and behaviour in respect of risk. ·Understand the likelihood, impact and acceptability of a risk. ·Be able to define the process of project risk management and risk. ·Understand the process of risk management. ·Be able to conduct simple risk analysis. ·Be able to prepare a simple risk and risk response log. ·Be able to prepare a simple risk management plan. ·Be able to use simple risk techniques. ·Understand the broad principles associated with modern project management and procurement.

Anyone involved in the management of a project at any stage who wishes to learn the principles of structured project management techniques.
