OBJECTIVES
In February 2002 a new ACOP of the CDM Regulations 1994 came into force. It expands responsibilities and as a result of fatality statistics it provides further guidance to all duty holders. The course concentrates on aspects of legislation and practical application of the role of the planning supervisor. The course is assessed by open book examination at the end and by assignment after which a certificate of achievement will be issued to the delegate suitable for display purposes.
Throughout the course extensive use will be made of case studies, slides and video. Delegates will be expected to interact and apply the principles learnt to case studies. Delegates will require their own unmarked copy of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 ACOP and the CDM Regulations 1994 ACOP (2002).
