OBJECTIVE

The objective of this short seminar is to introduce participants to the minimum requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995 and the new duties for service providers which came into effect on 1 October 2004.

PROGRAMME

·Definition of disability
·Reasonable adjustments to physical barriers
·Design requirements
·Compliance with Statutory requirements in the face of conflict with other standards and Regulations
·Non compliance with the Act
·Reasonable vs possible
