Since 1974, Marine & Industrial Transmissions Ltd have been supplying and servicing driveline and industrial transmissions systems across the UK and Ireland. 45 years later, MIT have grown and developed into a national centre for excellence and a major player in the supply of integrated driveline and propulsion solutions for marine, mining, rail, military and similar industries. We count companies such as Irish Rail, Sunseeker, the Ministry of Defence, Terex and South Boats among our esteemed clientele.
From our company bases in Kent and East Yorkshire, we support customers throughout the full product life cycle, from system design, supply and commissioning to maintenance and repair, through to overhaul or replacement. In the marine industry, applications include work boats, tugs, military and pleasure craft including advanced solutions for marine driveline systems, vibration and sound control.
We work in some of the most challenging environments such as airfield maintenance, mining and quarrying, building and construction, supplying and supporting equipment ranging from simple clutch installations to hybrid, twindisc and technodrive driveline solutions. Specialist vehicles supplied and serviced by us include fire trucks, road sweepers, passenger freight rail and airport support vehicles. We also specialise in electric propulsion, so your vessel can swiftly and easily convert to sustainable propulsion.
MIT have a highly trained, dedicated technical engineering team at our disposal, and the company achieved ISO 9001 accreditation in 2002. We are an active member of the National Maritime SSA trade association.
