We were recommended NMC for paving slab repairs on our estate in london. Their quote was above others that we had received but were the only company that could attend quickly due to the H&S issues of the areas requiring repairs. The staff that they sent were very rude and abusive to myself and another resident. when the invoice arrived, i went to inspect the works to sign it off for payment. Some of the repairs was worse than before they touched it. I refused and sent NMC a snagging list. The original surveyor attended and came up with every excuse with one line, "it is impossible to lay slabs down perfectly flat and level" With that comment, i had to walk off stating that it wont be paid until i am satisfied. They agreed to re-visit but very little was done. We still refused to pay an dthen a court order was made by them for the works. 4 years down the line, i am now personally repairing their works as every slab they touched has sunk, lifted, twisted and cracked.
I can do better.
